As a climate denier one may leave climate studies to a "science". But, what if we get your religion involved? What does it mean to be a christian? Does it have anything to do with climate? Then it hits you. Everything in this world is related to being a christian and you have a duty. One of the seven core themes of catholic teachings is- Care for God's creation. Let's take this all the way back to the book of Genesis. Easy stuff right? So we thought, but did we ever internalize these stories? God makes the world for good. But, now this world we live in is getting destroyed by the people it was made for. All because of our naive abusive lifestyle, consumption, and production in this world. Why change these habits? Exactly what we learned in the book of Genesis in Sunday school. Because this world we are wrecking is God's creation. Because it was made for good. And because humans were given responsibility to care for it. We must care for our common home we share with many other species and nature. Every creature has its own purpose and their value is not dependent on their usefulness. Thus we must not judge the value of what is here, but reflect on who created it and what are duty is to protect it.
Can you call yourself a Christian and deny climate change?
